Srinagar Women’s College, Srinagar was established in 2008. It is housed in Library Block of Amar Singh College Srinagar. Adjacent to Library Block, the Government of J&K has provided the college with one more newly constructed two-storied building. The college, being designated as Srinagar Women’s College - Srinagar by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, occupies a central position among women institutions of higher learning located in district Srinagar. The college started its academic journey with 71 students enrolled in BG - I in Arts stream with subject combination of General English, History, Political Science and Urdu. Primary aim of joining this institution is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academics and administrative performance.
